     Senator Lloyd Bentsen was quoted as saying, "I must admit I was a little fuzzy on the whole bill-becomes-law process. Now that
I've seen that little educational cartoon, it's easy as pie!"
    Unfortunately, the Equal Rights Amendment was not a bill....
    As Senator Strom Thurman said, "If only that little school house band stand cartoon had done a little jig about Amendments maybe we'd have given women some rights...."
